If you rent
You deserve safe conditions, responsive management, secure parking and walkways, and a voice before redevelopment or public funding decisions affect where and how you live.
If you own
You deserve development decisions that account for drainage, traffic, access, privacy, neighborhood character and property values before approvals are granted or public money is committed.

A different model for community voice
The Woodhaven Neighborhood Association can represent its members. A dues-paying organization should not automatically be treated as the voice of every person who lives or does business in Woodhaven.
Woodhaven Neighborhood Association
Association materials list $75 for residential membership and $150 for businesses, condos and apartments. They say dues support advocacy, representation, lobbying and a “unified voice.” Its bylaws state that non-dues-paying registered residents do not receive voting or membership privileges.
That may define who speaks within the association. It does not establish the views of the entire neighborhood.
Woodhaven Unites
Renters and homeowners have equal standing. Donations are voluntary and never affect voting, participation, access or the weight given to a resident’s viewpoint.
